What this site collects

Very little. There are no forms on this site and no accounts. If you email Paul, he gets what you send him and uses it to reply.

Analytics cookies

With your permission, the site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_* and sends Google details such as the pages you viewed, your browser and roughly where you are. IP addresses are anonymised.

These cookies are only set if you choose "That's fine" on the cookie banner. If you choose "No thanks", nothing is set. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the homepage.

Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under pc-consent. That is not sent anywhere.

Other services the site uses

• Netlify hosts the site. Like any web host it keeps short-lived server logs, which include IP addresses.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, so your browser asks Google's servers for them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how it is used. Email paul@paulchapmanuk.com. If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
